Unfortunately, I have to agree. After the 2008 collapse, I found myself trying to survive in the midst of a bunch of folks with the “normalcy bias” - including family.
I’ve still got friends like that. You would think this last year was a wake-up call, but for some, it still wasn’t.
One would have thought 9/11 made their minds right but oh no. Pearl Harbor did for a generation but Americans were made of different stuff then. I don’t see that now across all age groups but especially so the younger they are.
