Thanks for the mention.
I agree.
Look, if we can get people vaccinated, and get our lives back,
I think it will be worth it.
Not much in life is risk free.
Glad things have worked out well for you guys so far.
As with most government things, I don’t mind some of it and dislike the rest.
If I were a government official, I’d be torn between some of
the choices we’ve had so far.
It’s a whole lot easier when we don’t have the responsibility
for trying to do the right thing for the public.
If I had millions of people counting on me, it would be pretty
difficult to come up with the right decisions at times.
A lot of people see it that way, and I tend to agree.
Some of the childhood vaccines I’m not quite so easily inclined
to view it that way.
I have relatives and friends that have been hurt by NOT having
vaccines.
My uncle was crippled by polio. Several of my friends had light
sensitivity problems all their lives due to measles. Had a guy
I respected a lot, who had shingles in his later years as an
offshoot from having chickenpox.
I don’t have an ounce of respect for either one of them.
Fauchi is off on his God Complex.
Gates may mean well, but he doesn’t have a lick of common
sense.
Vaccinations of all sorts started at some point.
That’s how it goes. So far we don’t see a large percentage of
adverse reactions. Later on, as you mention, we don’t know.
We’ve got to do something. We can’t stay home for the rest of
our lives.
I’m at a point in my life, if I go I go.
Didn’t fear getting COVID-19. Didn’t fear the vaccine.
I’ve had one shot of Moderna, and I’ll be getting the second
on the 23rd.
You can’t sweat stuff like this. You’ll get it or you won’t.
You’ll live or you’ll die.
You’ll have very little control over these things. No use dying multiple times from fear.
Well, go out and get the Bat-flu. It probably won't kill you, and 50/50, it won't even make you very sick.
Take HCQ and zinc, or Ivermectin and zinc and grow your own antibodies.
Get it over with in a short period of time, and ska-rew the experimental "vaccine".
Hate to break it to you, but it’s not an experimental vaccine.
They tested it on humans and it’s now an approved vaccine.
I don’t have a problem with folks who want to do what you said,
but lets at least be honest with ourselves.
“Hate to break it to you, but it’s not an experimental vaccine.”
Sure it is experimental. And it is not a true vaccine, but gene therapy.
There is no long term, double-blind true placebo data. None. So you are part of the experiment. How can they assess what will happen in 10 years using this mRNA technology?
The FDA has literally approved the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines only as experimental for emergency use.

“most are money-grubbing whores”
I actually do not think that to be the case for most MDs.
I think the far bigger problem is the God complex (ego, arrogance etc) and then the religious devotion to ascientific principles in the development and use of Pharma & vaccines.
I agree with you, but there is still room to be a money-grubbing whore, as well. I am currently dealing with one, and my wife has dealt with some in the pass. Her current endo is EXCELLENT (he helps patients, which is why he was ‘run out of town’); mine is the bitch from hell...I’m looking for an escape without cutting off my BP meds.
I read a book a few years back about the Polio Epidemic back in the 1950’s, and I completely understand the wave of fear.
They were largely, but not all children. Those kids had their whole lives in front of them, and the prospect of living in an iron lung had to be even more terrifying for their parents.
I can only imagine. You can bet most parents jumped at the opportunity to get their kids vaccinated.
As for shingles...I ardently pursued the vaccine. I have worked in medicine my entire career, and have seen some bad cases of shingles, but the one my mother had near the end of her life that covered almost her entire back was horrifying to me. (the staff who worked with her said it was the worst one any one of them had seen, and her abject pain and misery nearly struck terror into me. I didn’t need anyone to tell me I should or shouldn’t get a vaccine, I was taking my chances with that one.
I learned this morning that the FDA has not approved of the vaccine.
They merely granted a special use for it.
So you are correct.
That’s true, and something I was unaware of until about an hour ago.
Thanks for the mention, and I am sorry your mom had to go through
that.
You know, we go through life thinking how bad we have it at times,
and just don’t realize what “real” bad truly is.
There are a lot of folks in this nation who continually focus on
their plight, losing sight of how lucky they are.
Agreed. What bothers me most is, even with its flaws (which are legion) the United States has STILL been the greatest country in the world to be a citizen of, and our enemies within and without are trying to turn us into Venezuela or the Soviet Union.
Or Communist China.
And the fact that is is good here, even for poor people, makes the destruction of it that much more grievous and painful.
It is experimental and not FDA approved if that means much. A special EUA was given to administer this experimental vax.

My family doc, whom I trust completely, has backed off on recommended the vaccine when I asked about it for my 81 year old FiL. He said give it some more time. We are not “locked down” at all, but just using common sense and will continue for a bit longer until we know more.
