Saga of Teen Vogue Editor Reminds Us All: Stop Tweeting!
New York Post ^ | March 9, 2 | John Podhoretz

Posted on 03/09/2021 3:53:43 PM PST by nickcarraway

When the journalist Alexi McCammond was 17 years old, she wrote some tweets in the voice of an annoyed American adolescent — which is what she was. Little could she have known that almost a decade later, her skyrocketing journalism career would be suddenly imperiled because she used the word “Asian” in a slighting way in three of those tweets.

But imperiled she is. And her story should be a reminder to everyone that whatever it is that causes people to dedicate themselves to Twitter, they are taking a huge and foolish risk with their potential futures.

That risk is not worth the immediate reward of hitting that blue Tweet button and showing your passing thoughts to a world wildly interested in finding ways to destroy people.

She’s obviously a hard core progressive liberal. Who else would work at “Teen Vogue.” She deserves it. Maybe she’ll realize the error of her political beliefs.

Anyone who claims to be a “Teen Vogue Editor” probably ought to be dropped into a hole.

Bloggers too.

Right into a hole.

I’m going to put “Teen Vogue Editor” right up there with “Lunar Surface Landscaper” at the top of my list of the most useless professions in the world today.

Yes. YES. It's like a roving pack of high school girls at their worst.

This sh@$%# is never going to end until racewars occur. People can only take so much of this. There is one side that fights for actual justice and does not treat an entire population like pets lacking all agency. And that side though having a long patient fuse, the length is not infinite and are rapidly tiring of the non stop invective and the outright abuse of their children. A 5 year old has no privelege other than what his class teacher gives him, a 5 year old knows nobody other than his parents, his teacher and a small group of friends. He did not have slaves (like literally every culture on earth), neither did his parents, nor grandparents, nor great grandparents, and is not even old enough to understand the concept. The slaves did not arrive here due to big white slaving expeditions. They were purchased when they were already slaves. Got that? Europeans did not purchase free men, they purchased people who were already slaves. One thing about slaves, how long was the industrial revolution put off because slaves were legal? We would probably have flying cars by now if people needed to innovate to be competitive

Like the bombers being blown up building a bomb. Hard to feel sorry. She might learn something but I doubt it. Stupid is strong in this career.

Her White House boyfriend wanted to hide that she was his girlfriend. No need to publish possible conflict on interest. He is now out of a job.

Teen Vogue is simply another tool of the Devil, so no sympathy from me.

The left accuses Christians of being “judgmental,” but no one is more judgmental and unforgiving than a leftist. Christians believe in repentance and forgiveness. The left doesn’t.

I finally was able to track down her Tweets. Definitely some things I would not say, but they do sound like things a mouthy teenager would say.

Hard to feel sympathy for her though. Odds are about 99-1 she's a left winger who is now being cancelled by her own kind.

Someday I expect “Teen Vogue” as a whole to come under attack from the left. After all, it represents a preoccupation with “bourgeois” concerns like fashion, personal appearance, cosmetics, and hair style. At some level it is probably also guilty of “whiteness.”

So it would be inappropriate for me to say that Tiger Woods learned to drive golf balls from his father, and learned how to drive cars from his mother?

She has cute girl privilege. She’ll be fine.

Move to the heartland, find a man, settle down, pop out a few kids, drink wine with your fellow suburban wives and enjoy the life that 2,000 years of trial and error has proven to work.

The sooner she realizes she was selling a lie to young girls, the better off she will be.
