Well, there are greyhound groups all over MO, but I do get your point about looks. When I first saw them I didn’t like the idea that there are parts of their hind legs you can see through. On the other hand I now think they are the perfect art deco dog—almost feel like I should dress up when I walk mine.

Absolutely worthless as a guard dog, to steal a line from Charles Shultz, burglars fear them because they may trip over them in the dark.

But when they run, full out, they are a sight to behold.

My sister used to do pretty good betting on them in FL. I hated seeing the dog transport trucks sitting in the sun on a 98 degree day.
