COOL - I’ve voted for someone else in every primary but it was a futile effort because Missourians don’t like change, plus he did do things for AG.
Jim Neely(iirc) looked pretty decent to replace squishy Parsons for governor. I don’t remember who ran against Blunt.
Since Missourians are also low tech, it’s hard to find much info on some candidates. Some don’t even have a website or have a very lame website with little info.

Perfect opportunity for President Trump to step in right now and block McConnell and the GOPe from getting one of their loser stooges in place who will either win and be useless in DC or give away the seat by losing.

RINOs are an endangered species. Good thing, but after wide open GOP Primary, do these become possible DEM pick ups in the General Election

Blunt is a “20” on the New American index. NO LOSS HERE.
NEW AMERICAN INDEX LINK
O to 100 Based on these 3 rules
1. IS IT CONSTITUTIONAL?
2. DO WE NEED IT?
3. CAN WE AFFORD IT?

The only thing is that when our GOP incumbents don’t run, we often lose the seat. If Kyle would have run again in Arizona and then resign, we’d have majority right now. Yes incumbent GOP can stink, but I wish they run and then resign.

The reality of the group known as the “Senate DeceptiCons” {Go Deep 2014} all now exiting, showcases their internal knowledge about how much the electorate is awake to their decades long schemes and machinations. These continued announcements are also predictive that Mitch McConnell is soon to leave the upper chamber.
Hold on to your political hat’s folks, this is going to get bigger and uglier as the power of the MAGA community and President Trump start to influence change.
The number of republican senators not running for reelection just gained another name today. Senators Richard Burr (NC), Ron Johnson (WI), Pat Toomey (PA), Rob Portman (OH), and Richard Shelby all previously stated they were not going to seek reelection; now Senator Roy Blunt makes the same announcement.
They know the American electorate can see both wings of the UniParty vulture now.
WASHINGTON DC – Sen. Roy Blunt of Missouri announced on Monday that he will not run for reelection in 2022, a surprise decision from the No. 4 GOP leader that comes amid a slew of retirements from top Senate Republicans.
Blunt, who was first elected to the Senate in 2010 and previously served for 14 years in the House, is the fifth Republican this cycle to announce his retirement.His decision is certain to set off a messy GOP primary in a state where former President Donald Trump remains popular.
“After 14 general election victories — three to county office, seven to the United States House of Representatives, and four statewide elections — I won’t be a candidate for reelection to the United States Senate next year,” Blunt said in a video message announcing his retirement. (read more)
In the 2022 Senate races there are 34 seats up for grabs. 14 are held by Democrats and 20 are held by tenuous Republicans. [Breakdown Here] Due to vulnerability, their lack of support amid the republican base, and their insufferable 2020 behavior outing them as DeceptiCons, it is almost guaranteed the GOP will lose seats in the 2022 mid-term election…. UNLESS President Trump leads the MAGA coalition to victory with new faces.
Current Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has a leadership group who carry out the institutional objectives of the upper chamber as a body, they include:
- Senator John Thune (whip);
- Senator John Barrasso (conference chair);
- Roy Blunt (committee chair); Todd Young (NRSC chair);
- Jodi Ernst (conference vice-chair); and
- Chuck Grassley (president pro tempore).
None of these senators make a move publicly without approval from Leader McConnell.
Things amid the DeceptiCon caucus are getting very interesting.
[…] Idaho Republican Sen. Mike Crapo has said he intends to run in 2022, but had not officially announced his candidacy. (LINK)
Another downstream note…. a dot that few will pay attention to… a subtle variable for those traveling the deep weeds…. this announcement portends the DeceptiCon caucus knows the Senate Filibuster is about to be eliminated.
