National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases head Dr. Anthony Fauci said Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation” that current coronavirus levels of 60,000 to 70,000 new cases per day were unacceptable.

Therefore, he argued for pulling back masking and the physical distancing “carefully and slowly.”

At the same time a CDC study shows that there is no significant difference between wearing a mask or not for susceptibility to COVID 19.

This is first I’ve heard him say start pulling back on masks. These states without mask mandates are going to start making him look stupid over the next few months.

Here in Texas, we can't wait for Wednesday, when the mask mandate ends.

Ah, the fully expected “Fauci flip-flop”. So, we’ve heard 1) masks not needed, 2) masks for a while, 3) nope, we need two masks, 4) “slow and careful reductions”.
