DanielDaniel Griffin wasn’t sure what to expect when his patients with chronic COVID-19 symptoms started getting vaccinated. There was some concern that the shots might make things worse by triggering the immune system. Luckily, the opposite seemed to be true.
“I started getting texts and calls from some of my colleagues saying hey, are your patients with long COVID reporting that they’re feeling better after the vaccine?” says Griffin, an infectious diseases clinician and researcher at Columbia University. When he started talking with patients, he saw that they were. “It’s not 100 percent, but it does seem like to be around a third,” he says.
Early reports from Griffin and others hint that people with persistent symptoms may improve after getting vaccinated. Information is still limited, and the data is largely anecdotal — but if the pattern holds, it could help researchers understand more about why symptoms of COVID-19 persist in some people, and offer a path to relief.

There was a study a month ago of side effects of the vaccine versus a placebo. What was astonishing to me was the PATTERN or frequency of ills and problems was very similar for both the vaccine and placebo.
Nearly 40 minutes. Can you provide a clue what it’s about?
Pretty unscientific Breaking News.
WTF is this BS now about “Long COVID?”
Notice how they keep pushing to get out the vaccine to people that don’t need it.
For a man-made lab disease that can’t hurt more than 99% of the population.
They are targeting children, which is 100% insane. You watch.
Today is the 10-day mark for me since my second Moderna vaccine and I have felt zero side effects. I’m type O Negative blood if that means anything. So am I now COVID immune?
That's the first thought that came to mind for me too.
I notice that you aren’t engaging in the scientific method when you throw out wild smears about people being flat earth narcissists.
Real science involves skeptical questioning
Yeah RIGHT!! All of you doubters out there READ THIS!! See the vaccine DOES work and it not only PREVENTS the CHINA VIRUS but if you have it it will cure you!!
Yousa, yousa and all hail the Vaccine!! </sarc>
I’m calling BS on this right now. Just another push to get people with natural immunity impetus to get the vaccine. I have yet to see compelling evidence that the vaccine is better than natural immunity. This makes me a little more skeptical about it.
Agree.
Not testing yet... so it remains anecdotal.
I see you don’t like to answer the question. But In any event you are broadly missing the point. Whether by design or not your engagement on this issue only proves your lack of substance.
I’m skeptical. Think back to any diet pill ad. It’s always something like: “Give me your money, take this pill, exercise, diet, etc. — and you will lose weight”.
Well, d’oh.
I suspect that every one of these cases had something else going on that was the basis for any improvement.
Okay, I give... "long" Covid?
Also known as “Long Haulers”, i.e., those who were sick with the virus for an extended period. From my experience, normally you’re feeling better after 5 to 7 days.

I don’t know if there’s ever such a thing as absolute 100% immunity. From the literature I’ve read, at 10 days out your immunity is still increasing. Between your vaccinations and your Type O blood, you’re probably pretty damned safe already. I’m scheduled for my second Moderna dose this coming Friday. Ten days after that I’ll consider myself pretty well immune in spite of my Type AB Positive blood. I already never wear a mask except when I go somewhere where I risk having tomatoes thrown at me by little old ladies if I don’t have a mask.
I think I had it a year ago when it first showed up before testing was popular. I haven’t felt good since. My sinuses are worse, my asthma is worse, I have headaches, and just don’t feel the same. Still, I’m not getting that vaccine that really isn’t a vaccine.
The J&J vac is really no different then the RNA vacs. The J&J vac is NOT like a traditional vaccine. The only ‘old’ technology vacs are the Chinese which use dead virus as the trigger.
At first I understood the ‘vector’ vaccines that includes Sputnik, India, J&J & Oxford-AstraZeneca used a genetically modified Covid Spike Protein that was introduced via a benign host virus, then worked like a traditional vaccine. But upon further investigation, that is not correct.
The Genetically Modified Spike Protein is introduced, then your DNA absorbs it and replicates it throughout your cells to force your body to have an immune response to the spike protein. This makes it essentially the same as the RNA vacs like Pfizer and Moderna. None of these are really traditional vaccines, and as such they offer no immunity nor do they actually stop the spread of Covid. They are simply designed to reduce severe symptoms from infection by pre-loading your immune system. They are basically auto-immune injections.
The problem is that no one knows the long term affects of RNA/DNA sequencing with these vacs and whether the trigger will be accurately replicated and will not cause an even worse auto-immune disorder. The Protein SubUnit vacs in development are probably the best method to attack covid like disease without modifying RNA/DNA, but they are still in trials so no one even knows if they will work.
Bottom line is EVERYONE should do their research on this and really understand how they work and realize that no one knows the real long term (months and years) affects that these can have because there is no long term test results.
Nope. You can still catch it, you can still infect others, so you still gotta wear your masks, lock yourself in your room, and sit and wait. So says the great and powerful Fauci!
No, you are not covid immune with any of these vacs being administered in the US. See my other post.
