Ding ding ding we have a winner. There is actually a sand plant in Monterey California and that sand is specifically in demand for sand blasting, the natural granularity and cleanliness makes it ideal for sand blasting in machine shops. I don’t know about the practicality for outdoor blasting.

IIRC, from watching ‘This Old House’-—it takes 2200++ degrees to melt that sand & make glass.
MUST use fossil fuels-—solar & wind won’t do that.....
IF plastic syringes must also be glass, then there is a further problem...
