I’m sure it’s a business decision. It depends on what they believe their customers want. I’m 69 and I shop where they enforce the mask mandate. If they didn’t, I would shop elsewhere.

I don't think many FReepers get how large the segment of population is that believes in the masks. Even though the mask mandate is over here in Texas, I do not think things will change much. The businesses would lose more customers than they would gain if they stopped requiring the masks. I'll keep wearing one when I shop because I know there will be a sign at very entrance saying that masks are required in order to shop there.

I surprised (but not really) walking around the first few days of Mask Freedom and still seeing all these scared sheep still with thier stupid face diapers on.

Same here in Nevada (still mandated masks) at Smith's and Wal-Mart. I wear the mask - under my nose or on my chin. I'll get a few stares from the Karens, but nothing else.
