An itchy rash may be a side effect of receiving the Moderna vaccine, doctors said.
About 12 recipients in a 30,000-person trial have seen their arms turn red, sore, itchy or swollen about a week after receiving the first dose, according to a letter from doctors published Wednesday in the New England Journal of Medicine.
Five of the patients had large skin lesions more than 10 centimeters (4 inches) in diameter at the injection site, the letter said. Two experienced the rash in other places, such as near the elbow and on the palm of the hand.

umm, the vaccine pimps on FR said it’s natural to feel discomfort and pain, and just to STFU because it works in the long run, mkay?
I’m going to try to achieve immunity. So thanks but no thanks.
12 people out of 30,000 get a rash? Ok. Duly noted.
I didn’t get a rash on my 1st Moderna shot. Getting 2nd one in a week or so.
I had no symptoms of Covid and I went to the doctor for a horrible rash and lesions on my legs, hands, and arms. It turns out that many of the people asymptomatic get this painful, itchy, bleeding, burning rash from Covid. It lasted for 5 months. Very slow to subside and heal. So, I find it quite plausible the vaccines may cause similar issues.
It’s an allergic reaction.
When someone gets hives from eating nuts or shellfish, they are advised to never ingest it again, because the next time could be anaphylaxis, which can kill you.
And here they are treating a rash as if it’s no big deal.
It’s more of a warning sign that many people realize.
Every person may have long standing prior infections or parasites that an immunization will interact with. Ivermectin use will do this as the infection or invasive entity is dying, fighting back to survive, trying to reproduce to propagate the species knowing they’re doomed, dead entities being expelled.
FWIW, it starts out as blisters much like chicken pox. Then it expands to really scaley patches that Crack and bleed. Your skin in those areas feels like a blow torch is on your skin.
I got Moderna yesterday. I’m thinking maybe I got the placebo.
Seems that a .0004% chance is pretty low.
Just got the second dose two days ago, I’ll let you know if I’m a former Washington fan.
This is exactly what multiple molecular geneticist doctors are warning about.
How are you feeling now, Bayard? Are you all right?
I just want to be sure my Weiner won’t fall off.

I have had 2 Moderna vaccines....no problems at all.
.
I find it more plausible if you get a live vaccine. I have a side effect from a vaccine that happens with the underlying disease.
In hindsight, I wouldn’t have gotten the vaccine if I had a crystal ball.
12 divided by 30,000 equals....
Yeah that’s great until you are the one that gets the rare side effect.
Most people dont now there is a govt. vaccine recovery court. I dont think it will apply with Covid.
Not looking forward to the mess of dealing with this vaccine court.
I actually got the arm rash about 8 days after the first Moderna shot. I initially thought it was from a bug bite, then I read about this being a possible reaction, especially in women. I am allergic to latex and shellfish. Took an antihistamine prior to my shot both times, just in case.
