Gov. Gavin Newsom on Thursday called for Californians who use cloth masks to consider double masking in some cases for better protection against COVID-19.
He called for people to "double down" on mask-wearing, saying that governors in Texas and several other states who this week said they would end mask mandates were giving "bad information."

I’m fine with the mask but understand people that don’t like them. I never thought I would see near universal wearing of masks in this Country. Other countries where I have lived it is commonplace even before covid which is probably why I have not minded them.

Masks may help a little bit but IMO the real problem is that it’s very easy to spread this virus. People are touching all kinds of surfaces and touching their face and eyes and mask etc. All the plexglass and masks and distance little good if everyone is touching the same gas station pumps, atm machines, counters tops, etc without proper hygiene / sanitization.
There’s no turning back when a weak-minded, immoral and empty headed moron like Newsom gets a taste of power and authority. They just can’t let it go. Fauci is an even better example.
