After leading charge vs. Al Franken, Sen. Gillibrand dodges Gov. Cuomo scandal

New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand appears to be giving Gov. Andrew Cuomo a long leash on the sexual harassment allegations leveled against him by a former aide — despite once leading the charge that led to then-Sen. Al Franken’s resignation over similar claims.

“I have not read her allegations or her post, her Medium post,” Gillibrand told reporters on a call Thursday afternoon — a day after Cuomo accuser Lindsey Boylan came forward igniting widespread media coverage.

“But as I said, everyone has a right to be able to come forward, speak their truth, and be heard. And that’s true for her and that’s also true for Gov. Cuomo.”

In 2017, Gillibrand, a 2020 Democratic presidential candidate, quickly led a full-throated condemnation of her colleague Franken as he faced mounting allegations of sexual harassment from multiple women.

On Facebook, she said, “I believe it would be better for our country if he sent a clear message that any kind of mistreatment of women in our society isn’t acceptable by stepping aside to let someone else serve.”

Regarding Cuomo — who is accused of kissing his then-aide Boylan on the lips and asking her to play “strip poker” in 2018 — Gillibrand said it was “up to” the state legislature to conduct a probe.

According to court documents Gillibrand’s father Doug Rutnik was employed by Albany sex cult NXIVM. Ex-sex cult employee Frank Parlato is working with Big League Politics to uncover the deep longstanding links between Gillibrand, the Clintons, and sex cult NXIVM. then he suddenly closed the case BUT nobody knows what happened to the evidence collected.

Was there a Gillibrand/Schneiderman quid pro quo deal?

UPDATE Schneiderman was ousted as NYAG b/c women came forward, said he slapped,
choked and spat at them in his bedroom. The "tolerant and compassionate" liberal
called a woman of color his "brown slave" and threatened to tap one women's phone.

The Albany Times-Union noted in 2015: “A former close confidant of Keith Raniere, founder of the NXIVM corporation, claims top officials in the secretive organization used a Canadian investigative firm or other means to sift the financial records of six federal judges and U.S. Sen. Charles E. Schumer, D-N.Y., according to court records. The former NXIVM insider, Kristin M. Keeffe, said that Seagrams heiress Clare W. Bronfman, who oversees NXIVM’s operations, ordered the financial probes at the direction of Raniere, 55.
