I carry a mask in the glove compartment of my car. It's the same one I had since last April. I haven't even washed it yet. And no, I don't hang it on my rear view mirror like a fuzzy pair of dice. I HATE when people do that. They might as well hang their dirty underwear as well.
So I will wear it only when required by the place of businesses I frequent. Out of respect for the business owners, who quite honestly, don't need the hassle. They need all the business they can get. But as soon as I exit their premises, that silly mask comes right off and gets shoved back into my glove compartment. I refuse to wear it outdoors. I've had people (mostly older women) literally cross the street when they see me approaching sans mask. Let them. They want to live out their lives in utter fear, that's on them.
But yes, people who embrace the mask are also probably also have fantasies of being the submissive in a S&M relationship. They are in their glory days because they get to go out in public to display their fetishes. If you see a man wearing a mask where it's not mandated, he's probably also wearing lacy women's underwear underneath his clothing.
Wearing face masks has become a cult phenomenon.

People who are ruled by their emotions are easily manipulated. Every idea that inspires action on the left can be traced to fear or hate.
The only use they have is to afford some protection of the criminal class from camera shots on the street or in shops. This has been proven.
I do the same - my mask goes on right before entering a store and comes off immediately after exiting the door. I get a lot of looks, but enjoy being the lone wolf regarding this. I don’t know about the S&M aspect, but most people are no better than sheep.
One of the dumbest things ever is wearing masks from the same country the virus you think the mask will stop came from!!

Fresh Air? How about a major lowering of O2 intake? Normal is 95-93, with one mask it goes down by 6%. This leads to all sorts of possible health problems. Perhaps Big Pharma, Big Medicine, and Big Health Insurance are hoping more get sick so they can make more money?
I've seen others do the same. I go to the same Dunkin Donuts every morning for my coffee. I've gotten a thumbs up more than once for ripping the mask off as soon as I exit the door.

I see this a lot on my morning dog walks. People see me coming and the either pull up their face masks (if they’re not already wearing them) and them move off the sidewalk to the street.
I so want to holler to them. “It’s a beautiful day. Don’t you love the fresh air?!?”
I never wear mine outdoors. And I believe the indoor requirement is kabuki theater. I’m also using the same mask I’ve had since a neighbor gave me one last April. I also have one or two store offered blue ones in the car in case I forget to bring mine with me.
Most people are lazy watch 10 minutes of the lying media form an opinion based on what they are told they should believe “because they said so” and go out and fight with you
