While the judge did the right thing, a problem with the judge’s pro-2nd Amendment (2A) decision is this. Taxpayers, not pro-gun control liberals, will probably pay the settlement imo.

The problem is that corrupt, Democratic-controlled Congress is not exercising its state-given 14th Amendment powers to make penal laws that discourage state actors from abridging constitutionally enumerated protections like 2A.

Excerpted from the 14th Amendment:

• "Section 1: All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States [emphasis added]; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

• Section 5. The Congress shall have power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article."

So anti-2A state government liberals are predictably going to keep making gun control laws because they can expect activist judges to not only give them a free pass every once in awhile, but taxpayers probably pay any settlement anyway imo.
