On Feb. 22, the Wall Street Journal quoted insiders who said that China’s Boyu Capital, a private equity firm founded by former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin’s grandson, Jiang Zhicheng, has moved part of its business from its Hong Kong headquarters to Singapore.

Two co-founders of the company have also relocated to Singapore. The transition was mainly driven by concerns over the weakening influence of the elder Jiang, which will likely leave his family and allies more vulnerable to political purges in China, according to the sources.

Jiang clique vs Xi clique drives a lot of stuff in chicomland.

Jiang thinks he is elder statesman and has the ultimate authority power.

I foresee an ambiguous defenestration.

He’s not in power, so he’d be third in the hierarchy.

It’s Xi and Jiang who disagree about number 1.

Jiang goes back to Deng Xiaoping putting him in after Tiananmen massacre. Jiang is directly anointed by Deng.

Hu was also specified by Deng but not directly like Jiang, he was the successor to Jiang that Deng instructed, but Deng was dead by the time that transition was made.

After Hu there was no one else anointed by Deng in the wings. No one alive who had been in the Long March either, so there was no authority to designate the leader.

They decided to work collectively but even within that context there is a power struggle.

So, given that Hu and Jiang have a direct connection to Deng, who was responsible for opening up China, can it be said that Hu and Jiang are ALLIES against Xi in this unspoken power struggle?

“Two co-founders of the company have also relocated to Singapore.”

Very SMART, when times are changing and Fascism is quickly moving in, if one delays in responding - they lose, as many, many, Chinese business and political leaders are learning the hard way, as their months turn into years in the concentration camps there.

Needless to say...expect exactly the same here.
