Makes sense. The Fake News media constantly do stories about right-wing extremism and the “Capitol Insurrection”. I’d be worried too if I believed their BS.
I remember when it first began to dawn on me in college that I might be a conservative. “No, everyone knows conservatives are ten foot tall monsters who eat babies” was my reaction. It took some time and some deprogramming for me to become comfortable with the fact that, yes, I was a conservative, and no, what the media/educational institutions were teaching me was not even remotely true.
