They couldn’t risk having dementia Joe in front of a live audience (congress) for 45 minutes. He can’t even read a teleprompter, and that format would undo him.

They are figuring out how to get “Jon Gil” patched up enough to mouth the words behind a giant microphone.
I’m actually surprised Biden didn’t give a SOTU-type speech remotely (remotely because of the virus, domestic terrorists, and stuff).
Such a speech could be recorded ahead of time, then edited to make Biden look like Winston Churchill. I think Joe’s handlers dropped the ball on this one.

He will probably end up doing what Jimmy Carter did at the height of his unpopularity: sending the SOTU to congress in writing.
I think it’s a grand idea to do it that way in any event, as a SOTU speech wastes about two weeks of government time to little effect other than a stupid dog and pony show.
Democrats have made this country a laughing stock of the world and the weakest.
We already know he has nothing good to say about the Trump administration, and everything he's done has yet to do anything but piss everyone off, so what would he say ?
