The U.S. House version of the “American Rescue Plan Act of 2021” – a $1.9 trillion emergency aid package to help America recover from the coronavirus pandemic has an extra perk for federal workers: Enhanced paid time off if your child is enrolled in a school that isn’t back to full-time, in-classroom instruction.
Critics call it a personal bailout for bureaucrats. It is funded through a new $570 million family leave account exclusively for federal workers.

The US government and many blue state governments need to be placed under IMF supervision.
They are not working-— unless they can document work from home... and even then, they really aren’t quantified as working, and they will get regular pay plus this!! Absolutely ridiculous.
Money we do not have to people we do not need, for work they are not doing. Work in most cases if it is not done— is not missed. Rare exception. Think IRS hassling people from home, on the net, with extra pay..... just because muh covid. Bullcrap.

They take taxpayer dollars to give to fed parents but what do the taxpayers get?
Fed workers are no more special than the taxpayers.
The federal government is too often a make-work project for people who can’t hack it in the private sector ... And that includes Congress.
PLUS the teachers and school administrators are all getting full pay, and now the parents are further motivated to NOT have their kids returned to in-person school, so it is a conspiracy by all who are paid by our tax dollars, to NOT work, and to CONTINUE to get more and more money (we earned), for not working. Great.
What I am feeling must be part of that “unity” Joe mentioned?

Man, I wish I were on the list for all the freebies this country is handing out. And here I am, having to fight to get disability for an adult child. Something is very wrong with this picture. Like maybe I’m the wrong color, or middle class, or play by the rules of life, or ... .
Just sickening, all of it.
The problem with not working is that no work gets done.
Yep- and it’s getting worse- The Evil and Sin on the left is mind boggling- above is a thread about a man who wears dresses, advocates for children getting mutilated for transgender surgery, who took his own mother out of the nursing home when the state ordered sick covid patients into the homes- about to be sworn in as our nation’s health something or other-
The blatant evil in our faces assaults on this nation is astonishing-
It’s disgustingly unfair and criminal especially when other workers such as medical, nursing, grocery store checkers and many others do NOT have the option of staying home and may be around sick people daily.
This is illegal and I do NOT want my tax money going to pay loafers just because they work for fed, state and city governments.

Some days I need to pinch myself to know this nightmare is real.

It is fitting that they get rewarded for voting democrat.
