I know very little about the “Proud Boys”.
But I have reached a point where, if the Left sees them as the root of conservative evil, I am more inclined to think they are are not what they are painted to be.
I don’t buy into it.
And the more the Left demonizes people, the more inclined I am to want to look deeper.
The Left (and now, many on the intellectually or ideologically weak Right) use them as a tool, I have come to view them as the equivalent of Goldstein and The Two Minutes Hate in Orwell’s “1984”.

Your approach is shared by lots of decent folk. Thankfully, Coulter has begun the task of getting the truth out.
I’m not a member (yet) but I associate with several. They are not White Supremacists, as they have Black, Asian and Latino members. They simply believe in traditional Male and Female roles and that Western Civilization is what created the modern world. They also belief in standing firm in the face of Antifa and their ilk. They call themselves “Proud Western Chauvinists”
Here’s the thing with the Proud Boys. They were founded by some guys who were ex-punk rockers, and so they are “rough around the edges” and not good little button-down young republican types. In the beginning, just because they were willing to fight the Antifa commies, they attracted some of the white nationalist skinhead types who had also been fighting Antifa on the streets for years.
Because they were decentralized and not really a top-down organization, those guys were able to sneak in and that gave the left enough of an excuse to label the Proud Boys as racists, white supremacists, etc. But that was never what the organization was about, and they kicked those boneheads out pretty quickly once they noticed what was happening.

When I hear or read that an individual or group/organization is being attacked based upon vague generalities of wrongdoing, my very first question is to ask specifically what law has this person or group broken. If no answer SPECIFICALLY citing such a law violation is proffered, I immediately reject all further discussion of the matter.
PB”S are kind of goofy. I first noticed them when they fought back in NYC when attacked by Antifa scum. Got on video. Antifa attacked and PB’s didn’t just stand there. Beat the crappola out of them.
I felt like cheering .
Regardless, NYC went after them with everything they had.
PB started out as a sort of ......pub club. You had to be sponsored and had to have been in a fight to get in.
MSM immediately classifed them as racist white supremacists. Which is comical as the head dude is hispanic. Then, they tried to torpedo them by claiming he worked for FBI. Umm, mebbe. But, why do I care? If he ratted out new members who were real bastids good for him. It’s not like Antif or BLM will do anything of the sort.
The last time I checked, there was a black out on info about the PBs, other than left wing sources condemning them without citing any of their sources. I couldn’t find any info that came directly from PBs individuals or groups.
