I will tell you one thing: the Patriot Day (Jan. 6) events scared the living tar out of the elites in BOTH parties. That is why you had the one-week impeachment; why you had the barbed wire & troops; why you had the insane effort to deny Trump the right to run again.
When you combine that with the 10 major advertisers pulling out of the Super Bowl; the RINOs not running again (Portman, Burrito, even Shelby who admittedly is old), the GameStop business-—all this DEEPLY shocked the elites. The ripples are still being felt. NYTimes said many elites “sought therapy.”
Here is a detailed look at how it hurt them: https://uncoverdc.com/2021/02/23/marinating-in-squidpickle-juice/

Really well written. Thanks for posting.
Outstanding article and commentary!
How do you know that a government has a problem? When Adults get in on the protests. And that is what happened on January 6th and why they are so scared. This is no longer kids just whining, as has been common for generations. When the adults show up with pitchforks, you have a problem. You’ve crossed a line.
And make no mistake. January was not the end. It was the beginning. Kinda like Pearl Harbor. In the end, this will not go well for the left. But it will certainly cost us all to one degree or another. Actually, it already is.
I completely agree. See my post number 6.

I liken it not to Pearl Harbor, but to the Doolittle Raid.
In and of itself, not a big deal. But the reaction it provoked as a massive strategic blunder.
That is an even better example. However, truth be told, I actually see it as September 1st, 1939, and we are currently in the phoney war.

But yes, the election was Pearl Harbor and January 6 was the Doolittle raid.
This is just ramping up.
Or consider Churchill’s decision to bomb Berlin during the peak of the Battle of Britain-—did no real damage but freaked out Hitler to the point that he completely revamped the Blitz strategy in such a way as to destroy any hope of success.
Concur!
Don’t be afraid of them — be afraid of the Republicans who do nothing.
Good call! I can’t believe I forgot about that one.
We thought that Sessions was a failure as AT and we wound up disappointed with Barr. Just wait, Garland will make Sessions look great. Barr will seem nearly perfect,
<>Yet with the help of cowardly Republicans, afraid to call these aggressions by their proper names, the Democrats were able to turn the Capitol melee into a preposterous Reichstag Fire β the same that provided Hitler, the elected chancellor of the Weimar Republic with an excuse for destroying the Republic and silencing his opponents.<>
The hour is late. What shall patriots do?
Problem is we continue to play by the rules and they have none they just take and we sit back dumbfounded
It’s why I’ve supported at FR an Article V COS for over ten years.
There is nothing to lose. There is everything to gain.
I’m still waiting for the Marxist pukes to admit the Antifa thug led the attack and got people incited to riot. But, then again, I expect pigs to fly one day also!! :-)
