Investigative Report: The Reason Behind Blackouts Across China; Not many people know that blackouts similar to Texas have happened in many cities in China , nor do they realize the real reason behind it.

The recent blackout in Texas in the United States has drawn a lot of attention from all over the world, but not many people know that similar blackouts have happened in many cities in China since the end of last year, nor do they realize the real reason behind it.

An in-depth investigation done by The Epoch Times on the structure of electricity consumption in China has led to the conclusion that its fast-growing digital surveillance industry has not only become an important new engine for the Chinese economy, but also competes with residents for power. The omnipresent digital surveillance system has also changed China into an Orwellian society, where all the data and information collected can be used and abused by the communist regime.

After the outbreak of the CCP virus in early 2020, new infrastructure construction such as 5G, artificial intelligence, and data centers were included in the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) ’s national work report.

In the winter of 2020, Ulanqab, a big data city in Inner Mongolia, a major energy province in China, was the first to report a shortage of electricity, followed by power shortages in Hunan, Zhejiang, and other provinces. The CCP interpreted the power shortage as a result of a strong economic recovery, claiming that China is the only major economy in the world to record positive GDP growth in 2020.

However, according to the white paper (pdf) on Digital Economy Development in China (2020) by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, more than 30 percent of the CCP’s GDP comes from the digital economy, which is closely linked to new infrastructure, and its rapid increase is not a sign of economic recovery, but a prevalence of a surveillance state.

In late 2020 and early 2021, China saw its first orange alert for a cold wave in nearly four years. The demand for electricity and coal increased dramatically.

Amidst the severe coldness, some areas in China experienced power outages and restrictions, including Hunan, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, and Inner Mongolia, China’s major province for electricity output and a major producer of coal.

According to sina.com, in Changsha city, Hunan Province, some offices turned off their elevators, and many people had to climb 20 to 30 floors of stairs to get to work. The Hunan Electric Power Company announced a state of war status for power supply on Dec. 19.

This was not the first time that China experienced a power shortage. According to Caixin.com, China experienced large-scale shortages in the early 1990s, during 2002-2004, and 2008-2011. In 2002, 12 provinces and regions across China implemented electricity restrictions.

At that time, the power generation capacity of China was less than 360 gigawatts (GW). Factories in China had to open for 3 days and then close for 4 days. During the peak hours of electricity consumption, elevators in shopping malls, as well as half of the streetlights had to be turned off.

Since then, for the past 18 years, China has been aggressively building power plants, leading to severe overcapacity in the coal power industry. By the end of 2020, China’s installed power generation capacity had reached 2.2 terawatts (TW), more than six times the 2002 level.

As early as 2016, China’s National Energy Administration required the industry to get rid of excess coal power capacity. However, less than six months after the Chinese regime issued a policy in June 2020 for the third consecutive year to ask the industry to get rid of the excess capacity, the history of power outages and restrictions was repeated.

Well, the Left turned President Donald Trump into Emmanuel Goldstein (essentially) very quickly.

And idiot, brain dead liberals are trying to convince us that what the US is doing in reducing carbon emissions is going to make any kind of difference.

I wish I could find the article, but they broke down H1B visas by country of origin of applicants for a number of Big Tech organizations for the last three years.

Google outstripped all the others by far, IIRC.

What's more, the vast majority (something like 70%) of H1B workers came from...

Communist China.

Bill Whittle did a masterful video recently called The Stolen Election Part II: Stoners and Reptiles

The whole video is worth watching, but his interpretation and presentation of the Big Tech interference in the election is critical. Near the end, if you go to the 14 minute mark of the video, he discusses a video, created for top level Google executives (and meant only for their eyes) that was leaked to the public called "The Selfish Ledger".

Bill Whittle calls it the most frightening thing he has yet seen from the Left, and I agree with him.

It describes how Google views our "ledger" to be compiled by the compilation of our online activities into a "fingerprint" of who and what we are, and likens it to our DNA that identifies us, and how they wish to alter that DNA-like "Ledger" to manipulate people to "think the right way".

The reason it is relevant, is because in "The Selfish Ledger" video, the creepy narrating voice talks about the information being "fed" into this ledger, and increasing not only the volume of "information", diversifying the "sources of the "information" to include new and better "sources of information".

Such as: roads you may travel, tied into places you eat (they can use AI to determine you were traveling down I-84 and stopped for 15 minutes, cross referencing your stop to a credit card transaction to determine more "information", or even tapping in to facial recognition to see where you go, how long you linger around various things...your frequency of meetings at your local Tea Party meeting which it can determine by using AI to cross reference your travel with room reservation information at hotels, etc. etc.

You get the idea. And who does this, more, and better than any other country in the world?

Communist China.

They put the East Germans to shame, and that is no mean feat.
