Fewer and fewer citizens care about our Constitution, let alone that particular mandate. Indeed.
We are unmistakably at the point the Senate is confident it can conduct an Impeachment trial in the absence of the USSC Chief Justice. Without an effective political party in opposition, one should ask, "What's next?"

Right. Yet another example of a blatant violation of a mandate in the Constitution.
Even the corrupt Roberts knew the Senate had no authority to put a private citizen on trial. That's how illegal it was.
