A letter signed by three dozen of his party’s caucus urges the new president to relinquish full control over the country’s nuclear weapons in favor of a committee approach…

Nearly three dozen House Democrats on Monday called on Biden to relinquish his sole authority to launch nuclear weapons, in the latest appeal to reform the command-and-control structure so that no single person can initiate a nuclear war.
“…Vesting one person with this authority entails real risks,” states the letter spearheaded by Rep. Jimmy Panetta of California. “Past presidents have threatened to attack other countries with nuclear weapons or exhibited behavior that caused other officials to express concern about the president’s judgment.“
Of course a lot more goes into a launch than the president just pushing a button. We like to pretend it’s simple, but it ain’t.
Not going anywhere. Third in the line of succession won’t allow it. She DEMANDED the launch codes in January. (She didn’t get them, but as POTUS she would. Some people just want to watch the world burn...)
Biden can’t make any decisions. His handlers write his speeches and control every move. The idea that he can blow up 5th ave with a nuclear device is nuts.
His handlers know this. They know they have complete control.
So what is the plan?
The plan is to pass a law which will tie Trump’s hands if he is re-elected. The libs are still operating on the basis “orange man bad”.
Remember that they wanted to put restrictions on Trump’s ability to use nukes when we was president.
But the repubs are so dumb they probably will fall for this scheme.
We need a military voice on the committee. I nominate General Jack Ripper.
At some point, maybe two years into the Nixon era....he took to drinking excessively at lunch, and was pretty much wasted from 1 PM on.
Eventually, Kissinger instructed the Nixon handlers to personally call him if anything came to rattle Nixon or if Nixon started talking about ‘nuking’ someone. So the attaché-case guy holding the codes...was basically waiting for Kissinger’s instruction....should anything pop up (not Nixon).
Agree and they know she hates America in a much different way than Biden so the destruction will be easier, and enjoyable for her.

Interesting that this idea is being floated with Biden as POTUS. The Democrats kept telling us Trump was crazy and mentally unbalanced, but I don’t recall a letter with multiple members of Congress asking for this. I am certain that in the inner circles of the Democratic Party there is real fear that Joe will become so unhinged that the media can’t cover for him. Having old Joe as a left wing puppet is very convenient as he comes across like a somewhat befuddled but kind of likable old uncle. Kamala is a hard core fascist and won’t have any remotely likable traits.
Wow!! A “committee” approach to a nuclear threat. This along with enabling Iran to go nuclear. Makes you wonder who is behind this lunacy. Reminds of of a period during the late 70’s and early 80’s, during the Cold War. The Soviet Union proposed and the Carter agreed to a “nuclear draw down” where the US and the Soviet Union would give up warheads in equal numbers. The Soviets knew how many we had and that they were much more effective. They were wiling to give up their old and “rusty” warheads and, since the US actually maintained their nuclear inventory, we would give up a fully functional warhead. Lunacy!!!
