I will never give up the Tomahawk Chop!!!
Name it something else then.
Haven’t had a decent Cherokee since they canned the XJ in 2001.
puhleeeeeeeze don’t tell me about your Grand Cherokee, it ain’t the same thing.
The Technology Transfer sourced Chinese Qishsi is a ghosted replica of the iron-clad Cherokee Sport.
All indian names should be removed. Cars, cities, states, street names, sports teams, etc. Completely erase them.
Or offer them a royalty.
One way or another they need to stfu
If they continue it won be like NG until they are forgotten and all thrown into the “indigenous people” pot or as copasino operators I guess it’s their choice.
How about the Jeep Navajo?

I used to think of the American Indian as a fierce warrior, a proud nation of people that were to be respected.

Absolutely. I asked an asian indian friend about this and she agrees wholeheartedly.
Ever notice how ‘engine’ sounds like ...
RACIST!
Then the Navajos will come looking for reparations.
How about the Jeep white boy
How about the Springsteen-endorsed Jeep DUI?
Shut down the casinos.

“The people of the “Cherokee” tribe were given that name by the neighboring “Creek” tribe,
and it meant “people with another language” in Creek.”
My mother said that I had a Creek great grandfather. I read some place that the Creeks were more amenable to coexist with the whites than the Cherokee. Don’t have any proof of either remarks. Makes me feel like Pokahontos. Can’t prove I’m part Indian. Ha.

Next they’ll sue every vehicle manufacturer who calls it anything except a “motor”.
Instead of Cherokee they should call them Crackers since whites are the only ones on planet earth that will not complain that something is named after them.
