Yeah, but that was 7 years ago. They’ve been taking steps to correct the problem and upgrade their gear - such as the Leopard 2A7 upgrade program and dumping the G36.

The Germans did go down the same road we did with ignoring the Trophy systems and waiting for vaporware from local vendors - in our case, Raytheon’s still-vaporware QuickKill system. In their case, they had Rheinmetall offering an APS, among others.
