How did so many girls go through the ranks all the way to Eagle just since 2019? Merit badges must not have much merit if over one hundred can be completed in less than two years.

They only need to earn 21 merit badges for the Eagle Scout rank.
One merit badge was a macro. The “Fundamentally Change America From What We Once Knew It”. It covers everything.
My thoughts too. There’s no way anyone can earn 137 badges in two years. None. Zero.
They have completely diluted the once difficult accomplishment of Eagle Scout.
I was only a Cub Scout. Got back into it with my boys. One achieved Eagle.
In 2013, after BSA lost their moral compass, we made the decision to join Trail Life USA. We never looked back.
Our other son earned the Freedom Award, Trail Life’s pinnacle. It’s far more difficult and challenging than Eagle.
