Guangxin is a former officer in the Chinese army and is the richest person in China’s embattled Xinjiang province. GH America Energy is a subsidiary of Guanghui Energy Company, based out of Shanghai, where Sun Guangxin owns a controlling 44% stake, according to Market Screener.
Late last year, Del Rio Mayor, Bruno Lozano, wrote to federal officials close to the matter, “We believe that this project and all future projects of a similar nature will result in unacceptable risk to national security of the United States.”
According to a 2018 release from Laughlin Air Force Base, their flight training wing provides over 2800 jobs to the local economy. It also produces 350 new pilots every year. But this program may be in jeopardy due to the Wind Farm’s construction and daily operation.
A combination of radio interference, signal transmission, and even physical obstruction make performing these flight trainings more difficult. Furthermore, the project has potential to hinder access to electricity and water gotten from the local river, which would cripple operations at Laughlin Air Force Base if it were to be attacked or sabotaged in any way.
Former Congressman Will Hurd weighed in at ForeignPolicy.com, “Why are we allowing a Chinese company to do that in the U.S.? A former U.S. general would not be able to do this kind of project in China.”
Hurd expanded on the threat to Texas Public Radio by adding that, “once the owners of the West Texas project named Blue Hills Wind becomes part of the power community, they will gain access to security industry alerts, private industry insights and national security threat assessments.”
Last week, much of Texas was gripped by historic low temperatures, resulting in deadly power outages that affected roughly 4 million people. These outages are widely reported to be the result of an over reliance on wind turbines by Texas’ energy grid, run by the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT).
Governor Greg Abbott (R-TX) held an emergency session with the Texas Legislature Sunday morning but failed to mention the Blue Hills Wind Project or rampant Chinese influence over Texas’ energy grid.
Find the CO for the base and demote and sack him
They couldn’t find an American company to build it?
Pretty much anything imaginable. Biggest thing is complete infiltration and takeover of that AFB, with more to come unless this madness is immediately dealt with.
That means, everyone in or associated with Texas’ governance, The State Capitol of Austin, and those entities that have moved their interests to Austin need to given the heave-ho or run out on a rail.
Bullseye on Texas - bump for later...
CCP owns Joe Biden
Gov. Abbott, you know better than this.
I’ve been fighting this battle since Reagan was POTUS.
to control the power & set up comms with motherland.
Guangxin is a former officer in the Chinese People’s Liberation Army and is the richest person in China’s embattled Xinjiang province as well as a ranking member of the CCP.
How Profitable is this?
—
As profitable as can be made with substandard equipment and construction - just like in mainland China. Expect it to fall apart in 3 years of so.
They couldn’t find an American company to build it?
—
A US company would not build in backdoor connections to Mainland China nor use shoddy materials and equipment, therefore any kick backs and bribes would be commensurately smaller.
RE: Guangxin is a former officer in the Chinese People’s Liberation Army and is the richest person in China’s embattled Xinjiang province
The article calls Guangxin a Shanghai Billionaire, what’s he doing in Far off XinJiang? ( I don’t even think he is an Uighur ).
Commiemala will give them everything they need as far as construction materials and of course access to U.S. military engineers, ships, planes, etc., including an indentured slave workforce made up of all those young folks that the U.S. military / or CCP, et al deems ineligible for service.
They’ll work them to death or they’ll shape up and shock up and realize that they’re either going to have to fight back or end up living the horrors of what the CCP is doing to people in mainland China.
“How stupid is this?!”
“...which would cripple operations at Laughlin Air Force Base if it were to be attacked or sabotaged in any way.”
Unless you know about them, it may be stupider than you think. Laughlin AFB is a pilot training base. Currently, the base uses the T-6 Texan II, T-38C Talon, and the T-1A Jayhawk to teach American and allied nation’s pilots to fly. None have weapons on board so the training is for basic flying, not combat. And even when they did have the 4080th SRW, they were there for reconnaissance and meteorological gathering along with signal and electronic intelligence flights plus collected air samples from nuclear above-ground tests. The 4080th left the base in 1962. The AETC hosts 12 major installations and supports tenant units on numerous bases across the globe. There are also 16 active-duty and seven Reserve wings. Why in the absolute world would Laughlin be a combat target? They’d be better off hitting Del Rio which is a known arts and humanities town. That would, at least, get Nancy Pelosi’s ear (if it doesn’t fall off).

Was it Khruschev who said, “America will sell us the rope with which we will hang them.”?
Hate to tell you this but the land was purchased while Trump was president.
There is no need for another power source in that area. There are windmills in Brackettville and Lake Amistad power dam.
Texas or Beijing Biden?
Hell No it’s an abuse of stupidity.
