The National Football League did not have a very good year in terms of television ratings. Though, you wouldn’t know that based on what they’re asking their broadcast partners to pay.
The NFL is asking their broadcast partners – NBC, Fox, CBS, ESPN (Disney) – to pay double what they have been paying for the right to broadcast NFL games.
However, Disney-owned ESPN is throwing sand in the NFL’s gears.

I have no particular love for the broadcast networks, but, man, some chutzpah from the NFL here. Their ratings have been dropping ~10 percent annually, and they want to double their rates? Interesting how that works.
Half the audience, twice the price. Makes perfect sense. When do the trannies demand equal representation?

I thought that nikki haley had the “gall award” all sowed up. Now this! The nfl ratings have plummeted, but now the nfl wants double. Am I in some sort of weird nightmare? Has the entire earth turned into the surreal? I’m starting to think that we are surrounded by idiots who think left is right, up is down, wet is dry, light is dark...
I would suggest the strategy here...is to aim for a 100-percent increase, and just be happy if you get a 0-gain/0-loss.
No one from the networks is going to pay more....they all know that the peak has been hit and the league will be lucky if they can hit 80-percent of viewers from the 2000 to 2010 era.
Networks to the NFL, we agree to a 100% decrease in what we will pay you.

The NFL wants to be like the post office: Keep raising the rate until customers come back. Instead, people are taking their business elsewhere, using email and paying bills digitally; and, cutting the cable.

Countless people who don’t like the anti-Americanism of the NFL are hurting their bottom line. This is just the NFL’s way of bringing the bottom line up to what they were used to. I hope they go bankrupt.
Disney is already bleeding out on the Disney + channel at 40% of targeted subscribers. They showed reasonable quarterly earnings but the indicators were not looking good for the future. Their parks are still not near expected capacity. The Gina Carrano idiocy was needless and probably pushed by people who wanted to damage Disney more than settle some SJW BS. Now the Kneelers want more money? Have a lovely day (not), you great lot of mousy pedophiles...
Fan stadium ticket sales are way down and it will take a long time for them to rebuild. Stadium concession revenues are down (those $10 beers generate revenue). With the “take a knee” image of the NFL (not helped by the Super Bowl), trademarked NFL merchandising revenue is also down,
The players have not had any salary cuts, nor the management. The Stadium fees and higher testing & travel costs also have hit the bottom line.
So the only place to really charge more to get more profit into the bottom line is.............TV revenues, so said the NFL bean counters.
TV bean counters look at the lower TV ratings and viewership as meaning less advertising revenuers. TV bean counters point out that the most recent not-so-Super Bowl had horrible view ratings and the typical year tooth & nail fist fight over 30 second advertising spots during the Super Bowl fell flat.
I think that the TV bean counters are going to win. The real losers are going to be the players salaries and the fees their sports agents make. The NFL teams are going to have to lower the team salary caps, the owners are going to make less in profits, and the players and coaches are going to be going on a financial diet.

They’re all rooting for Deep State to keep the lockdowns on, too, because once people are free again, watch the churn rates skyrocket. Especially with the economy stinking.
