Los Angeles District Attorney (DA) George Gascón said Friday he will not seek the death penalty for an admitted gang member who killed a police officer and his own cousin.
Michael Christopher Mejia, 30, is awaiting trial on charges stemming from Feb. 20, 2017.
One of Mejia’s victims was officer Keith Boyer, 53, who was responding to a report of a traffic collision in which Mejia had been involved.

Defunding the police wasn’t about defunding the police. It was always about ushering in the breakdown of the social order, which in communist dogma, leads to the replacement of the old order and the installation of the new order.
They want ineffective police who will allow the underclass to run rampant over the productive class and paralyze it with fear. Already started: break-ins and theft of cars in the suburbs has skyrocketed.

Outrageous but not surprising. The accused killer should get a fair trial and if found guilty get an expedited appeal .After that he should be taken out and shot in the back of the head and dumped in a hole in the ground.
Not in about 35 +++ years. IIRC, there are OVER 750 prisoners on Death Row—and Jerry Brown spent OVER $1 MILLION rebuilding the gas chamber—and it has NEVER been used.
