CO2 does hold some heat. But more importantly it is plant food.

Without plants, all life staves to death and life that lives on oxygenation suffocates.

The biggest problem with the “Greenhouse” gas theory of carbon is how unlike a real greenhouse Earth is.

A closed greenhouse gets warmer, there is no doubt. You can try it for yourself and see.

However, the Earth ISN’T a closed greenhouse. Lots of “windows” are open, including night time, especially in dry climates, the polar night times that extend for months and other factors make Earth a greenhouse with openings that regulate excessive heat and cold.

It’s as if a Higher Power was making that happen!

But at one time, that Higher Power was adjusting the thermostat, sort of speak, just like a father would.

At 500+ million years ago oxygen levels got so high, and CO2 so low, that the Earth froze over. Completely. Even the equators. The excessive oxygen in the atmosphere killed 99 percent of life on Earth. It was only when a geologic happening based on plate tectonics built up enough CO2 from volcanoes that the Earth warmed up hospitably for life.

For the past 100s of millions of years, oxygen levels have remained at about 18-24% and CO2 at .03 percent. Co2 has gone as high as 2000 parts per million (ppm) to as low as 195 ppm. And that’s actually a pittance either way on that .03%.

When CO2 was high in the Eocene, the whole Earth was a warm paradise with palm tees up and beyond the Arctic circle and vast forests on Antarctica. Lots and lots of life!

When Co2 was very low 50,000 years ago, the Earth was in a dry cold ice age and plants were barely hanging on.

So I for one welcome Co2 and its contribution to me and mine not freezing to death and my plants thriving and growing.

Ain’t God’s science wonderful?

The most healthy times in history have been the warmest periods of earth. The Renaissance was the warmest period of earth.

I am in complete agreement. We essentially saved the world from CO2 starvation in the next ice age. The rise from 0.03% to 0.05% is and will be overwhelmingly beneficial. The science says so too, specifiallly the old version of the FUND model.
