Apparently, Ms. Johnson feels we all have to make amends for the racism she experienced/benefited from in her personal upbringing.
She is determined to make herself a better person by punishing all of the people of her race that she feels are responsible for her perceived/imagined moral shortcomings.
Sociopath? Narcissist? Which definition does she fit best?
Johnson is a leftist bigot and ignoramus when it comes to what is taught, or was taught, in public schools. A lot of the basics came from Judeo-Christian teachings, methods, and educational institutions, not just from anything the Greeks had.
American education grew based on these earlier sources but have been perverted by teachers like Johnson who are now looking for a non-existent historical basis for her stupid theories and beliefs.
No wonder “Johnny and Jane can’t write”. They don’t learn Latin any more and what passes for English is more like ghetto Ebonics than any recognizable and understandable American English. Just listen to inner city kids speak. Too many can hardly speak a coherent sentence less write a coherent letter or report.
Ms. Johnson is what is wrong with the leftist corrosive perversion/version of what had been American education.

Public indoctrination centers threatened.
Charter schools ARE publicly schools; they just aren’t run by teachers’ unions. The “regular” public school systems oppose them because they are funded the same way (taxes) so the old-school union mafia loses revenues - while simultaneously being publicly shamed by chronically underperforming a competing public school system.

With vouchers there will undoubtedly be strings attached about what must and cannot be taught.
