It doesn’t matter. Western civilization is bent on suicide so they— not me— will destroy the only reliable sources of electrical power we have. In 100 years, there probably won’t be anyone who knows how to make electricity on a grid scale. Ah, well. We had a good run, but everything dies.

“If the blades have ice, then that’s not nice.”
Coal is the way to make electricity. Gas is a giant assist. But coal fired and modern nuclear plants are the way.
Renewables suck, and they hurt regular producers because they are subsidized and hard to compete against.
“Lump of coal, a faggot, anything to keep folks warm. :-)”
Few things keep you warm like a flaming faggot. ;)
Did the coal plants in Texas go offline during the Texas cold snap?
You like that kinda stuff gross go back to du
Can’t - they banned me for posting stuff like this. :D
I think I read where they were affected to a degree by the cold weather - frozen water/ steam generation issues??
It doesn’t help that the Texas energy group shut down 5,000 MW of coal energy in 2018 alone in order to meet EPA regulations.
We need to shut down the Sierra Clubs Beyond Coal Campaign, they’re a cancer sending us not forward but into the dark ages.
Congratulations on the correct use of the word “faggot”.

Way to go Chuck! Telling the honest truth.
Do they have any operating coal plants in TX?
A stick of wood or a ciggy?
Nuclear would be better
Coal......
Makes electricity.
Let’s kids know at Christmas if they’ve been bad.
Delicious with mayonnaise on pumpernickel.
In the North, gas power plants, windfarms and solar are operating in much colder conditions. Coal plants shut down in Texas. The key is weatherization.

Yes. They also have some shut down due to ultra strict EPA emission violations. It's not economical to go after the last .8% of emissions.
