“ The office of Sheila Jackson Lee has tweeted that the Congresswoman, along with nonprofit organization NACC Disaster Service, will be handing out bottle water and groceries to Houston communities affected by the winter storm, starting at 1 p.m. Thursday at Emancipation Park.”

Not even that. Like I’ve been saying, he could have just picked up a novel and read it for 3 days. Or, if he was really cold in his house, find someone with a generator (our house stayed warm, as we were burning through Butane bottles, had natural gas, and also have a generator), and order a book on prepping from Amazon.
Or, if he REALLY needed to get away, charter an airplane using his wife’s money to fly somewhere...although he’d likely get spotted anyway.
He didn’t have to get out in public and hand out blankets or water, and given how radioactive he is, he likely would have caused more problems than he helped with. If he didn’t say or do anything in public, NO ONE WOULD CARE. We expect our governor to respond to disasters, and would have asked questions about what he’s doing - but not a Senator, it’s a different job.
There were a lot of things he could have done right (or not at all), it was very, very easy for him to stay out of trouble, but Cruz managed to pick about the WORST THING that he could have done wrong.
