Nope most Texans are not Karen’s and constantly enraged about menial crap. Those of us who grew up in the Gulf Coast know when a bad storm is coming you get out of the way not sit in it and suffer the effects and after effects. I remember hurricane Alicia we lost rural power for nearly a month after the storm there was no way to stay without a generator. Cruz is a federal representative he has ZERO authority or even a role in the state legislatures responsibility to regulate the local power grid industry. There is absolutely nothing he can nor should do in this case at the state level. Abbot is on the ball with investigations and he demanded the legislature mandate the winterization of the power and gas grid and the funding for such action. It’s just a bunch of hater Karen’s with their knickers in a twist jealous that someone was smart enough to get out of the sick for some family fun. I say good for him enjoy the family time then get your butt back to DC and oppose these commies at every turn good sir.
Didn’t Maxine Waters reportedly just give her daughter over a million dollars from her campaign fund? That woman is committing crimes every freaking year, but let’s go after Ted Cruz for something petty like this. I’m mad at him for telling the media he made a mistake and was second guessing himself for taking the trip. Geez Ted. He just put the target on his back by himself. The Republicans are so good at destroying themselves, either by the circular firing squad or self-immolation.
Anyone on FR who damns Cruz because of this thing should be ashamed of themselves.
The people who were saying earlier he was doing nothing wrong because 1) he was just escorting his kids on the plane to make sure they got on safely and 2) was returning home to Texas right away might care. Now he admits he was going for several days with his wife and kids to the beach and would work remotely. Maybe they don’t care. But now you have the rest of the story.
Ted did nothing wrong. He should of said nothing, but he put himself on the defensive.
What is the controversy here and why is Sen. Cruz admitting it was a mistake?

Sadly there are a lot of the Karen crowd here at FR and all over the various cesspool cities now ruining our State.
The media prints a script and these feeble minded fools buy it hook line and sinker.

This Yankee, who has lived through the longest cold-slap in her State’s History, and couldn’t get a flight out of Milwaukee or O’Hare to Sunny Mexico this week on a bet, remains unimpressed.

Now it was a trip to beach for several days through the weekend.
Which is it? Not a big deal because it was only one night or a big deal because he was going to ride out the storm in Mexico with all of his constituents back in Texas?
