Since Mars is in an orbit further from the Sun than Earth is pretty certain that microbial life has made it that on the solar Wind. So finding evidence of life is not pie-in-the-sky. Mars used to have Oceans and a decent enough atmosphere. Earth life could have established itself there.

I think you might see a confirmation of life on Mars. The pentagon in foia requests have admitted retrieving and experimenting on craft not of this world. They won’t touch the part about who or what was flying them yet. The navy seems willing to talk about such things but the Air Force, CIA and NASA won’t go there yet. I don’t have a clue about the objects in the navy released videos but such maneuvers would kill a human pilot.
