Ivanka Trump will not be challenging Florida Sen. Marco Rubio for his Senate seat in 2022.

The two-term senator and the former president's daughter spoke weeks ago, and Trump offered her support for Rubio's reelection, a spokesperson with his campaign told the Washington Examiner on Thursday. The news was first reported by the New York Times.

"I can confirm that Marco and Ivanka did speak a few weeks ago. Ivanka offered her support for Marco’s reelection, and they had a great talk," the spokesperson said, teasing a potential joint event between the two. "I can also confirm that we are discussing a joint event to highlight Marco and Ivanka’s successful push to expand the Child Tax Credit."

I doubt Ivanka could beat him. It would be better for her to run against one of the Miami area Dems for Congress.

What’s the point? Unless the Democrats decide that it’s somehow useful to have a Republican in that seat, neither has a chance of winning. That’s what our elections have come to thanks to SCOTUS abdicating its Constitutional responsibilities.

Somebody needs to primary little Marco. Just ONE solid conservative.. I’ll NEVER vote for him again. Even if I have to vote for a Democrat in the general.

Isn’t Eric a New Yorker? (I’d love to see a Trump run against Cuomo.)

If Rubio is the best Florida republicans can do then they will probably lose that seat, I know many will not vote him because we are sick of do nothing and say nothing republican senators.

Rubio should be made Czar of Puerto Rico’s economy. Then he can become the first presidente of Cuba. Only then would he be POTUS material warts and all. That includes foam parties.

Good observation. You have to wonder how long that’s been going on.

Ivanka Trump will not be challenging Florida Sen. Marco Rubio for his Senate seat in 2022.

Just as well - I have no reason to believe she'd be any better. But it would be great to see Rubio primaried by an authentic pro-Trump conservative.

jared is going back to shady grifting and hustling again so an Ivanka campaign would bring a spotlight to his dealings.
