Could this be a much earlier planned vacation? He is on break from the congress right now and many folks I know go someplace warm for a week or two in the winter.

When people in your state are freezing to death, literally, you don't run away for some fun and sun in Mexico. And, no, it doesn't matter when he booked the trip.

Outages in Tx are down from 4.6 million to 0.5 million.
No federal interference is going to fix this. It’s up to the power companies and the state.

Well, at least Ted Cruz and his family are off the power grid for now. In a small, but measurable way, this leaves more power for the rest of us in Texas.
I was able to get to a place with power. Millions haven’t. And commercial/residential areas are being destroyed as we type by the hundreds all over. If you think this is a minor thing, it’s not.
That’s really it: you snooze you lose. Dems never let a good crisis go to waste. We’ve heard them brag about this for decades, yet it still hasn’t sunk in.

No wonder the GOP laughs at us if they aren’t even doing what they’re paid to do. This could swing Texas WAY to the left, it was inevitable anyway but 2022 could be very nasty.
