Worst disaster in TX history

ROTFLMAO! Ye gads...grow a pair! Dealt with tons of cold spells in New England and the upper plains in my lifetime. Still here. (Wasn't it 30 to 40 below in Montana recently?)

People have been out of power for 4 days in 1-10F and now the water is starting to go. When it warms up the pipes will break even more.. This is certainly going to be the most expensive event in TX history.

We woke up to electricity for the first time in 4 days . My only complaint about Cruz is he chose Cancun over Cozumel .

Its part of his job to criticize state officials when they screw up, which they did on this occasion.
What is the problem then?

Cruz was seen personally spraying water on windmills. Then he tried to sneak away to Cancun. 3 unnamed sources confirmed this.

Worst disaster in TX history, you should cancel a vacation. This is a top-down massive failure.

No it isn’t. If we want to buy into media hyperventilating, then shame on us. If he were the governor, you’d have a point. This is not close to the worst disaster in Texas’ history. Him posting pictures of himself with a candle and a generator would accomplish nothing.

You’d rank this worse than the Galveston Hurricane that killed thousands?

[ What is he going to do? He’s not the governor or a local official and I doubt pedaling a bicycle to generate power would do much. There’s a lot to criticize politicians over but I do t see this as one of them ]

This. Unless its a federal emergency that requires legislation, there’s nothing he can do. This is a state and local government matter, and the MSM is grasping at straws looking for things to smear him with.

He just gave his opponent in 2024 some great campaign material.

Bad optics, nothing more.

Senators don't change weather or fix power grids.

Smart move by Ted. This how you take care of your family. Anyone with the means would do the same thing.

Not a good look, but if he and his family had planned a vacation already, I get why they went ahead and went on it. He won’t face re-election for another 4 years. I doubt the voters will care very much by then. This isn’t like the RINOs who actively betrayed their voters.

Suddenly, a lot of folks are concerned about hypocrisy? Really?

Really?Maxine Waters, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, Adam Schiff, all of the mainstream media, Slawell, Biden, Harris, every Democrat I know, many Republicans I know, Nadler, etc., etc., etc., ad infinitum.

I would say he probably shouldn't have flown down there right now, it looks a bit hypocritical since we can't all go with him, but when did that EVER matter for the leftist, Marxist side?

And Slawell most of all. He was sleeping with (and more than likely giving secrets information to) that Chinese whore spy. When they start reporting on the hypocrisies of EVERYONE, then I'll take a look at it. I thought so. That is all.

The Senate is a collection of basically worthless, overpaid and arrogant elitists in it for their own self enrichments and aggrandizing platforms. Despicable modern day Nobles and we their Serfs.

I am not a Cruz fan necessarily, but exactly how can he impact the conditions in Texas? The causes were years in the making, and will take a long time to resolve.
