Shirts and shoes are still required, but you don’t need masks to enter one Florida restaurant. Or “face diapers,” as the restaurant calls them.
BeckyJack’s Food Shack in Spring Hill, Fla., shared a Facebook post Sunday that reminded potential patrons that the only things they need to bring are an appetite and a wallet. And if they decide to bring a smile, by golly, people would actually see it.
“Howdy Folks! Happy Valentine’s Day A friendly reminder that we DO NOT require Face Masks,” the post read.
BeckyJack’s also posted a sign in its window that garnered some attention. “Face diapers not required!” it read. “Everyone welcome.”
Of course, since the establishment is located in Florida, it faces zero penalties — as Gov. Ron DeSantis has not implemented statewide mandates and is even blocking municipalities from enforcing their own mandates with fines.
“We’re getting a ton of feedback, both positive and negative,” said Jesse Fox, the restaurant’s owner, in an interview with a local news station. “I don’t feel like I am going against the grain. I feel like I’m using common sense.”
Becky Jack’s is amazing! Good old fashioned Florida. The crunchy fish is next level.

My job takes me out and about quite often. in the last couple weeks I’ve been in several states. I’ve begun to lunch at small local places.
My personal policy has been to not ever put on a mask until I’m at least several feet inside a building. I will never wear one outdoors.
I take a quick scan and if the staff or other customers are somewhat free, Off it comes. It’s so freeing.
Also, If I have to wear one to walk to the table, I will never wear it when I leave. What are they gonna do? kick me out?

If it weren’t for the heat and humidity and being flat as a pancake this Californian would move to Florida in a New York minute.

Bars and restaurants account for only 1.4 percent of new covid cases.. said NY Governor Cuomo.. Therefore, politicians are closing restaurants .
Guess I won’t be going to BeckyJack’s.
Face diapers have been the growth industry of 2020
None of the people that I know that have had it can trace it to a restaurant. The studies actually show that most of the covid cases at least in New York happened in those that spent the most time locked in their houses

that’s OK i’m headed to florida soon to visit family and if they are anywhere close to where I am I’ll visit. And leave an extra large tip

BS. No they cannot do that. If you get covid you cannot identify where you got it.
