CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A 19-year-old man was shot and killed by the person he was trying to rob, said Cleveland police.
Cleveland police said this happened in the parking lot of the HP Gas Station in the 7300 block of Lorain Avenue around 8:45 p.m. Wednesday.
According to police, a 24-year-old man called 911 and told dispatchers he had shot a man during a robbery attempt and a second suspect had followed him home and was standing outside his house.

Second suspect identified as Mr. John Stoopid!!!
Whether or not the robbery victim gets charged with a crime depends ENTIRELY on his race and the robber’s race.
Wait..... he shot a guy at a gas station and then went home? There is more to this story....
Robbery turned good. Probably saved the life of a stranger, a couple years in the future. Why only one? What’s the bag limit?
Darwin saw this coming.
“Man trying to rob him” - I wonder why the reporter tries so hard to avoid use of the word “robber”.
My guess is that there are surveillance videos. It's not as strange as it seems. People who commit crimes like this are not geniuses. Driving home may have been instinctive, it's where we feel safe. The second perp sees his brother/cousin/male relative get shot, so he hops in his car and follows the shooter looking for revenge, never thinking that the victim might call the cops.
Exactly my first thought.
Absolutely correct! After the shooting, he should have called 911 immediately upon getting to the safety of his car.
Was there a car chase from the gas station to the victim’s home?
Aspiring robber? Wannabee robber? Voleur raté?
Was he driving a Brinks truck, or the presidential limousine? Me, I'm getting the Hell out of Dodge before his "cousin" opens up on me while I'm sitting in my ride pissing around with my phone.
“Wait..... he shot a guy at a gas station and then went home?”
I suspect his gas station burrito was getting cold.
Excellent point..so right.
I would also have driven to police station..but thats hard when youre so upset. Lots of reactions when you just shot someone
Given the location of some gas stations, hanging around waiting for the police might be the worst idea.
Hypothetical: You’re a white guy that has just shot a black guy attempting to rob you. When the tunnel vision starts to fade, you notice that you’re surrounded by the black guys friends....oh S%#@!
Second point. Your car is not a safe place unless it is moving you quickly away from the trouble.
Only fault I find here is that he should have driven to a police station rather than home.
Individual suffering from living with the anticipated future stigma of having a criminal record
The article is fixated on the AGES of the involved individuals. What other attribute of the men do they not want us to know? The ages don’t matter.
Sounds like he was walking to/from the gas station. Must live real close by for another to follow him and stand outside his house. Knew to go there armed, so it’s probably a rough/risky place to be.
I know this comes as a shock to you cell /smart phone zombies, but many of us do not have a cell phone within 24/7 arms reach... I prefer to have my concealed or car carry pistol within arms reach...
“Wait..... he shot a guy at a gas station and then went home? There is more to this story....”
Add in the fact the second suspect follow him home. Waiting for the rest of the story....
