CNN has allegedly reinstated a ban on host Chris Cuomo interviewing his brother, Andrew, despite allowing the New York governor to appear on his show more than ten times last year.

The network was questioned by the Washington Post on Tuesday after Chris, 50, failed to mention his 63-yar-old brother while addressing the biggest stories related to COVID-19 on his show the previous night.

The host's silence came just hours after the governor had finally addressed in a press conference the latest scandal surrounding his handling of the data involving COVID-19 deaths in the state's nursing homes.

New York is constantly renaming their bridges, but nobody changes what they call them. The Tappan Zee, The Triboro Bridge (like NYers are really going to start calling that the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge!), The Queensborough Bridge (the Ed Koch bridge?!).

Always renamed after a Democrat, always completely ignored except by the sign makers.

Here's my interesting fact for the day. The bridge in NYC that is farthest out from the city center and is also the southernmost bridge in the state is called the Outerbridge Crossing, but not for those reasons. It's named after Eugenius Harvey Outerbridge.

You are exactly right. It will always be the Tappan Zee, the Triboro and the Queensboro bridges around here.

Also, true New Yorkers will always say 6th Avenue (and not "Avenue of the Americas").

I don't think there's been a conscious decision to turn on Andy Cuomo, it's just that the staggering magnitude of his f-up is too much to continue covering for him. It's no longer possible to shield him from the political consequences.

He will face no legal or civil charges, but it's the end of the line for him politically. Same goes for Whitman and Newsome and Murphy (though he was going nowhere anyway).

Also, in the 70’s the old Tappan Zee was named for fmr Gov Malcolm Wilson and further upriver the Newburgh Beacon Bridge was named for fmr Cong Hamilton Fish.
