Responding by Name-Calling to Those Challenging Darwinism: Lesson: Before Putting Pen to Paper, Do Your Research!

Here I examine a recent critique of Darwin doubters that was published on The Conversation on 4 Feb 2021. It was written by University of Glasgow Professor Emeritus of Chemistry, Paul Braterman.
His claims begin off-topic with “the myth of the stolen U.S. election” (which could refer to either the 2016 or the 2020 election) as an example of a conspiracy theory that, in his opinion, Americans have a penchant for embracing.
(Note: the U.S. Supreme Court has yet to rule on the 2020 election concerns.) From that launching pad, Braterman goes to his more serious concern.

Evolution is Unproven and Unprovable.
Evolution is a theory that has nothing to do with Science.
It’s a religion that is taught in schools as if true with the use of Taxpayer funds.

* NOTE: When I use the word evolution, I am not referring to the minor variations found in all of the various life forms (microevolution). I am referring to the general theory of evolution which believes these five major events took place without God:
1. Time, space, and matter came into existence by themselves.
2. Planets and stars formed from space dust.
3. Matter created life by itself.
4. Early life-forms learned to reproduce themselves.
5. Major changes occurred between these diverse life forms (i.e., fish changed to amphibians, amphibians changed to reptiles, and reptiles changed to birds or mammals).
The Creation is a fact; all this didn’t spring unbidden from nothing. Whether six billion years or six thousand is immaterial. He did it and will control its fate.

Interesting anthropomorphism....you have given time, space, and matter personality and agency. How does time, space, and maater come into existence by themselves?
Are you saying they came into existence by their own actions? Are those “things” a “them?” Why would “they” create themselves if “they” already existed?
Maybe you should say “Time, space, and matter came into acceptable verifiable existence before some humans postulated its existence. Method of its formation is unknown and outside of current physical parameters of known universe”
Please re-examine some of your statements.
You also anthromorphize matter again by saying that matter “created life by itself”
I think what you are trying to say is “Matter, as we understand it, by its intrinsic characteristics, is able to combine in a way that produces entities we call “living”.
Billions of heated, physically isolated, canned soups would testify otherwise.
Did early life forms die before they “learned” how to reproduce?
So earth had to wait another hundred million years before the next living entity? Did that one learn? Oh, well...back to the time and chance life lottery.

All these publications, and yet I - and I would gather the majority of American citizens - have never heard of this guy. Yet Rush Limbaugh - who never graduated from college, wrote only a few books, and was never published inthe ‘correct’ publications - is more known by the majority of Ameircan citizens - listeners and non-listeners alike. God truly does promote those seen as cast-offs to the pinnacle.

Nope. I am quoting Dr. Bergman’s definition of evolution.

Is that like asking God for the chemical-physics-biological pathway for the Resurrection of a dead body?
