Georgia's Fulton County's Board of Registration and Elections voted Tuesday in favor of removing its election director following a mistake-marred and disputed 2020 election cycle.
The board removed Director Richard Barron in a 3-2 vote, according to 11alive.com.
Problems with balloting in the county emerged in the June primaries and resurfaced in the November General Election when incumbent President Trump narrowly lost the state to Democratic challenger Joe Biden.
The county's efforts were criticized by the state and the Trump campaign, which argued the results were tainted by voter fraud.
A similar vote against Barron was held last week but ruled invalid because it was taken in an executive, or private, session, 11alive.com also reports.
Dr. Kathleen Ruth, Mark Wingate, two Republicans, and board vice chair Vernetta Keith Nuriddin, a Democrat, voted to remove Barron.
Board Chairperson Mary Carole Cooney and Aaron Johnson, two Democrats, voted to retain him.
The county faced criticism in November and December over issues regarding election security, staffing, resources and ballot chain of custody.
Allegations of vote fraud at the State Farm Arena have remained unproven, but state officials had to sort out the issues, purportedly putting a huge strain on the county's election apparatus, with some workers facing harassment and death threats.
A server crashing during the recount also became an issue, with the state saying the county "literally ignored the basic instructions and the directions of the vendor."
The Secretary of State's Office said at the time the county "cut a corner" by using a Dominion Systems server that had been meant for testing, 11alive.com also reported.

Get’m mad at each other until one spills the beans on the others.
It’s not enough.
Well, well, well! A tacit admission that the President actually carried Georgia after all. And then there’s the question of those two filthy Rats currently “representing” Georgia in the Senate.
Gary Smith tried to fix this problem many years ago. He is a trusted man who directed the elections office in Forsyth County for many years.
Get rid of all of the bad fruit.
How about a recount. Hand counted audit with signature match. Let’s start with the military absentee votes. Where are the ballots. Hmmm shredded. Wasn’t this supposed to happen a while back. This is not the only state they are gonna have fights in. These are the little scapegoats that will lose there jobs over a huge voter fraud election.
Ask Ruby Freeman who gave her the order to do what she did.
“””The board removed Director Richard Barron in a 3-2 vote””
A scapegoat is not enough.
Prison for the fraudsters comes a bit closer, but is still not enough.
Resignation of Kemp and Raffensperger and then their conviction for obstructing justice would clear things up.
At this point, a hand recount would prove nothing thanks to the huge number of "adjudicated" ballots. One method of fraud cooked into Georgia's automated system in 2020 was its "unforeseen" generation of an unusually large number of "errors" which require a precinct "official" to "adjudicate" each rejected ballot, replace it with a new, untraceable "adjudicated" ballot, and then discard the original ballot. Beautiful, ain't it?
Once our votes are digitized, whoever controls their tabulation system can massage the data as they wish - just as the system was designed. There is no way to make Georgia's automated voting system foolproof, and there is no need for automation that requires "experts" to examine and verify. That $100 million must be written off and paper ballots should be counted at the precinct level, as reasonably intelligent laymen have done for hundreds of years.
I want to know what our buddy Gabriel Sterling has to say about this.
it may not be final. it’s not clear the board had the authority to fire him without the county commissioners approving the move.
Ron Desantis removed two of our most corrupt elections supervisors right after his election. Our results came in right on time this last cycle.
Thanks for the explanation.
It’s a start...now let’s get others...
But, but, but...I thought this was the most secure & fair election ever.

Your honor, I had no intention of actually murdering the victim. Sure I hated him and loaded my gun and practiced at the range and took it to a meeting with him and pointed it at his head. But pulling the trigger was a mistake.
It was a an election fraud riddled process. Journist and editor scum grajiates of the Orwell school of journalism.
Dominion should sue this paper. The server was never meant for testing and yet they used it. Well why did you sell it to them then? Oh it was just for training purposes while we made and tested a certified system for actual election use.
Just nuke all of them, except they are cock-roaches and likely survivors.
Allegations of vote fraud at the State Farm Arena have remained unproven
