Liberals' Worst Nightmare: Poll Finds Huge Majority of Republican Voters Still Back Trump
The Western Journal ^ | FEBRUARY 16, 2021 | JOE SAUNDERS

Posted on 02/16/2021 4:22:04 PM PST by E. Pluribus Unum

These are the kinds of numbers that give liberals nightmares.

Despite a determined effort by the Democratic Party and its propaganda arm in the mainstream media that would like nothing better than to pronounce the Donald Trump influence dead, a poll released Monday showed the former president’s influence is alive and thriving.

And virtual landslide of Republican voters wants to see it continue into the future.

The Quinnipiac University poll was conducted Feb. 11-14, while Trump’s second impeachment trial was taking place in the Senate.

Of the 1,056 adults surveyed, the poll showed a resounding 75 percent of Republican respondents thought Trump should continue to play a “prominent” role in the party, and an even bigger percentage — 87 percent — thought Trump should be able to run for elected office again.

On the topic of Trump’s impeachment trial, 89 percent of Republicans opposed a conviction, the poll, which had a margin of error of +/- 3 percentage points, showed.

“He may be down, but he is certainly not out of favor with the GOP,” Quinnipiac pollster Tim Mallow said in the news release that announced the poll results. “Twice impeached, vilified by Democrats in the trial, and virtually silenced by social media … Despite it all, Donald Trump keeps a solid foothold in the Republican Party.”

As if to prove the point of the poll, Trump was greeted by a massive Presidents’ Day rally outside his home at the Mar-a-Lago resort in West Palm Beach, Florida, on his return from a round of golf, Breitbart reported.

It’s the kind of sight Americans might have to get used to, come the midterm season.

This is unbelievable! 45 returns to Mar-a-Lago this afternoon, after an awesome day out on the links….to this….❤️🤍💙🇺🇸🦅 pic.twitter.com/QJwR3hAgMs

I think 2022 will be a wash. McConnell’s statements and actions clearly show the establishment is going to throw elections where real conservatives are running until the base relents. But the more they attack Trump, the more his base, the republican base coalesces around him.

It’s clear that a few (25%/13%/11%) POS GOPe back-stabbers leaked into the poll...

Patriot responses:
75%
87%
89%

Trump support in the GOP is the liberals’ worst nightmare?

Oh, that’s rich. Is the author just kidding around? The liberals’ worst nightmare would be if voter fraud was eliminated, and the country returned to honest elections.

Perhaps second on their nightmare list would be if the press reverted back to its old role as an independent watchdog.

Well, I guess that means that the military will continue guard duty around the capitol for the foreseeable future?

Now that we know Democrats are willing and able to rig elections I have to wonder just how many Democrats are there.

The Democrat seem to win big in urban areas but not in suburban areas, could that be because it is easier to cheat in the large urban areas?

I’m an unaffiliated voter who never votes Democrat for anything. They can add me to the percentage of Trump supporters who still support Trump.

Same here. Always registered unaffiliated since 1976, never voted for a Democrat, ever. I support President Trump, not the Republican Party.

I love it and I think it’s hilarious that Trump’s crowd are his supporters. Biden has to order NG military to hang out at the White House and pretend it’s his support.

Biden can NOT lead a country that refuses to follow him.

God bless President Trump.

Oh, yes. I went to a Trump rally about three months before the election. Trump himself wasn’t there. It was just a large, friendly gathering of Trump supporters - maybe 350 people. There was a band, a hot dog stand - the usual rally stuff. And there were LOTS of black folks in attendance - they were wearing MAGA hats, Trump shirts, etc.

Now here’s the interesting thing. The local Biden supporters held there own rally in a vacant lot across the street. Only eight people showed up there!

And yet my state went for Biden. It was due to voter fraud, I’m sure of it.

"McConnell’s statements and actions clearly show the

conservatives are running until the base relents."

A new party is needed. It seems this is only way to
break the strangle hold of the RINOs and the Democrats
on the American People. It will take time and there
will be setbacks but I believe we can win in the end.
Additionally, I don't think the change will be peaceful.
The Communist Democrats and their RINO collaborators
will make it a life a death struggle for the country.
