According to PETA, the world’s cattle alone consume a quantity of food equal to the caloric needs of 8.7 billion people
Even assuming they got that number from somewhere real, more likely it includes a great number of cattle eating food that humans cannot eat - which is why humans domesticated cattle, goats, chickens, and pigs, and such.
There is something to be said about feeding corn to cattle, or for that matter feeding corn via ethanol to gas tanks, but PETA tends to go to Loonyville and dance there.
yes. Just wait until (for the same reason) they want to create synthetic humans. Just as ridiculous!
These jackasses need to be called out NOW!
Perhaps Gates should help to introduce free markets to that area. Then eventually the American-style emissions-efficient cattle would develop from there, IMO.

Once someone gets to a certain level of riches, they should never be allowed to make policies for people, or for that matter, be allowed to voice their opinions.
Just because they’re rich DOES NOT MEAN they get to tell everyone else how they need to live. Especially when they become so rich that they have all these crazy ideas!

Anyone that thinks it’s their job to police the planet and its resources is playing God. And when it’s someone with the money and power of Gates, its incredibly dangerous. The hubris is incredible.
Gates can afford fake meat without any crimp in his lifestyle. Most of us can’t.
