L. Lin Wood enlists ‘Army of Patriots’ in battle to retain law license

Atlanta attorney L. Lin Wood took to social media Saturday with a dramatic plea: “I need the help of We the People.”

Wood, famous first as a defamation lawyer and now as a proselyte of former President Donald Trump’s unfounded claims of election fraud, had just received a nearly 1,700-page document from the State Bar of Georgia that threatened to end his 43-year legal career. In it, the Bar’s Disciplinary Board said it had initiated a grievance against Wood over his conduct in connection with his attempts to overturn the 2020 presidential election.

On the internet messaging service Telegram, Wood enlisted an “Army of Patriots” to investigate his accusers, to scrutinize their social media posts, their political affiliations, their connections and clients — anything that would challenge their “competence, qualifications or objectivity.”

The Bar’s investigation, Wood said, is intended to retaliate against him for advocating on Trump’s behalf. After the election, he alleged that Georgia officials had committed crimes while ensuring Biden was declared the winner here, and he thinks those officials may be using the Bar to drive him out of the practice of law.

“I’m going to find out who’s involved,” Wood said. “And when I do, I’m going to sue every damn one of them.”

Before I decide whether to support Mr. Wood or not, I would like to know the charges, (I cannot read the full article) and the facts applied to those charges.

To work backwards from whether or not I approve of his political stance is to decide the case the way at least three Justices of the Supreme Court invariably behave.

One of the attorneys, Jeffrey Harris, who signed off to remove Wood was hired by the Democrat Party to represent them in the Nov 3 election

Apologies, my meaning was not made clear, I was not referring to you personally rather I was saying that we are not quite emerging from a time when the whole of the nation seems to decide all questions on the basis of:

1 orange man bad, or

2 orange man saves

We are now in an age dominated by critical theory, a postmodern phenomenon that abandons reason to substitute ideology for facts. The ad hominem is admittedly a far more effective propaganda weapon than deductive reasoning but we must not come to the temptation or we are lost.

Sorry, I misunderstood your post.
As for our nation’s direction, I think, it will continue in a poor direction.
Demographics is destiny, combined with an economic downturn of serious proportion. Commercial real estate, unemployment, underemployment, inflation, increased gas/energy prices, etc. will propagate through the entire economy.

There a 1600 page document out there that the GA Bar put together. It’s like one of those omnibus bills, they threw in everything but the kitchen sink. Heck, there’s probably one of those in there.

Add the American and State Bar Associations to the list of institutions who have forfeited the trust of the people. The more these institutions, (we recently we saw Wall Street disgrace itself in the Robin Hood affair), lose the confidence of the people the more cultural resistance to big government dissipates.

In the economic crunch to come, in whatever Black Swan event that inevitably comes, we will be defended by no dependable institution even as we are riven in our own culture. We become all the more vulnerable to big government tyranny of the kind the left would label utopia.

Add economic chaos from profligate fiscal and monetary policy, the dead hand of big tech and big media depriving us of means of communication while swamping us with propaganda, subversion from China, thoroughgoing corruption up been down our government, a pernicious postmodern ideology that can lead only to bloodshed, and any reasonably prudent patriot will tremble for our children if it all comes together in a perfect storm.

There have been several people convicted of voter fraud. When a county has 200% vote, more votes than residents of a county this is prima facia evidence of fraud.
This only proves fraud and corruption in our lawyer licensing system.
