Illinois Republican Rep. Adam Kinzinger has released a scathing handwritten letter he received from a number of his relatives, calling him a ‘disappointment to God’ and a stain on their family's name for backing the impeachment of Donald Trump.
Kinzinger told the New York Times he received the disparaging note just two days after he called for Trump to be removed from office following the Capitol riots on January 6.
Penned by 11 members of his extended family, Kinzinger was accused in the letter of being in cahoots with ‘the devils army (Democrats and the fake news media)’ for publicly opposing the then-president, and requesting the 25th Amendment be invoked against him.
‘Oh my, what a disappointment you are to me and to God!’ the letter, dated January 8, begins. ‘We were once so proud of your accomplishments! Instead, you go against your Christian principals and join the “devil’s army”.’
‘How do you call yourself a Christian when you join the “devil’s army” believing in abortion!’ the note continues. ‘We thought you were “smart” enough to see how the left is brainwashing so many.’
Kinzinger’s family then go on to accuse him, and 'many other GOP members', of being ‘brainwashed’ by Democrats and ‘falling for their socialism ideals’.
While conceding that Trump ‘is not perfect’, they tell the Congressman, ‘neither are you or any of us for that matter!’
‘It’s not for us to judge or be judged! But [Trump] is a Christian! If God can forgive and use King David in the Bible, he can do the same with President Trump.’
‘When was the last time you proclaimed your faith Adam? (Oh we forgot your [sic] now with the “devil’s army”). You won’t convince us otherwise with your horrible, rude accusations of President Trump!

Why is this drama queen releasing this letter? Seems like a ploy to curry favor with the liberal/left/Dem/media establishment, i.e., “Look at me, one of the good guys brave enough to stand up to the right-wing, crazy Trumpers in my own family.”
I assume it was meant to be a personal note, it was rather inconsiderate of him to share it with the New York Times. Yes he works for Satan but it hardly an excuse for rudeness.

It is a shame what the hate-filled left has done to families. We can’t just have a civil disagreement with them. We believe they are wrong but certainly have a right to their beliefs. They give us no such respect and want us in reeducation camps.
It sucks when all your pals in DC quit inviting you to all the best parties.
So the jerk goes around waiving the letter like it’s a badge on honor. Sounds like he comes from good, honest, wholesome folks.
Do you ever see Democrats go on OAN, Breitbart or Newsmax? Hell, they’ll barely appear on Fox News but only with Chris Wallace. So why the Heck do Republicans ALWAYS give interviews with retched liberal news media?

Has the media doxed the Trump supporters who wrote this letter?
Why is brainwashed in quotes when they complain about the influence of DNC uniparty media? There never was a chance of conviction in the Senate. There are plenty of documentaries and editorials about family members who were brainwashed by Fox News, podcasts, or talk radio to support conservative Americanism, they never put brainwashed in quotes.
The Leftist Red Guard harasses people until they confess their sins. They were harassing diners in restaurants and drivers in the streets.

No thought at all as to what he is supposed to be doing - REPRESENT the wishes of his constituents. Too many zero IQ selectees brush aside their constituents’ opinions to impose their own agenda.

As post 14 says. my guess is that Adam Kinzinger is the author of that note.
