Sunday in the wake of former President Donald Trump’s Senate impeachment acquittal, former Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) discussed the GOP’s identity with Trump no longer in office.
Flake, now a CNN analyst, warned the GOP would remain in a “permanent minority” if it continues to follow Trump. He doubled down on his belief that there is “no future with Trumpism.”

No, I disagree. We’ll be a permanent minor party until control of the voting procedures and vote counting is taken from activist Democrats.
The GOP is just really dumb or think we are. Trump had up to 98% approval rating among repub voters and the GOP just let the election get stolen from him and our 70-80 million votes canceled.
Why vote when tptb are going to decide for you? That’s what millions of conservatives think now.

If only Donald Trump would have had Jeff Flake’s level of popularity, he might have pulled it off. (/sarcasm)
He has it exactly backwards - as usual. There’s a reason he’s out of office, his political career is over and he has zero influence.
