Hey there, radu!
No church service this morning. The preacher couldn’t make it down from Lubbock and the roads were treacherous in town. My hubby went up there anyway to turn off the heaters that he had turned on yesterday. He said it wasn’t such a bad drive but I’m glad I didn’t go with him.
It snowed HARD all day and completely covered up the cats’ water and food areas. I finally decided to bring Li’l Bit inside and she’s in the back bathroom, quiet as a mouse. I worried all last night that I’d find her cold and stiff this morning, but she was fine. But she has no one to cuddle with.
I just fed the rest of them about an hour ago. They ate and they looked in good shape. They haven’t budged out of the warm spots all day.The snow has stopped so hubby swept off the patio in the area near the door where I have been putting their food and water. The water starts freezing in about 20 minutes. The current temp is 5 and feels like -12.
I watched him earlier...there was a wreck that he was sitting behind. I hope things there where you are don’t get this bad. It’s strange to see all of Texas under severe winter weather warnings!
I kinda figured they’d called the service off. It’s really bad over there. I’m glad your hubby was able to get to the church and back without any problems when he went to turn the heaters off.
I couldn’t believe all the snow I saw on the radar when I woke up today. TX really got hit!
I’m glad at least Li’l Bit is inside now since she doesn’t snuggle with the others. I’ll bet SHE’S mighty glad too! Happy warm lil girlie.
As cold as it is, you should put hot water in their dish outside. It’ll cool off quickly enough for them to get a drink and will take a little longer to freeze up. Poor kitties with their “dining room” covered with snow. Thank goodness the snow’s stopped now. If only the bitter cold would move back where it belongs ..... WAY up north.
We’ve had freezing fog the last two days and nights and the thin glaze of ice is going to make it easy for ice build-up tonight and tomorrow. It’s all a matter of how much we get.
