I watched that video twice and I never heard HER use the word “just” in describing the doctored evidence. It sounds like the lawyer ascribed a motive here that wasn’t reflected in what she said.

In the Duke Lacrosse case it was the local prosecutor (Not the Duke Lacrosse Club !) that manufactured evidence. He wanted to score political points for his future polical career with the local minority community. I remember that the local prosecutor did recieve a level of retribution. He rightly lost his position and was disbarred. Not sure he went to jail. He should have if he didn’t !

The thing that I like most about him is the way he went after her ersonally, exposing her not as an uninterested “reporter” trying to find the truth but as a biased political hack of the Rats persuasion. He probably learned it from Trump.

A lawyer making a compelling point about doctored evidence shouldn't "read through" anything. He had all the facts on his side and should have just hammered the House managers on that alone. He turned it into an attack on the media (which is fine with me), but the media weren't the most important angle to this story here.

I think he had a hard time hearing some of the things she said because he was responding to her statements at the same time she was making or clarifying related points. Listen to the end when he misquotes her as saying: "Just to be fair ..." -- when in fact she said, "Just to be clear to our viewers," when describing the fabricated evidence.

I never watched the trial and didn't follow it much even here on FR, so the information she gave about the doctored evidence was the first time I had heard those details.
